This is not like other tours you may have been on ... it is for members and guests only, to limit the number of people ... and we will all go together to one pond after another, so the owners of each pond will get to see all the other ponds. If you are unable to make the whole tour, you can pop in and out at one or more places - times are approximate, but we will do our best to stick to the schedule.
About a week before the tour, we will put out a special edition with addresses and maps, but here is the basic information ...
First, we will start down south at 11 am at the home of Scott and Audrey Abrahamsen, and the club will provide Blunch (a new word meaning breakfast/lunch) - a few extra calories to keep us going through the day!
This will be followed by 5 other ponds in the general area - the Simco’s, Connor’s, Gouldings, and Schulz’s - the last pond will be the Fosters’s in Manitou Springs, arriving about 4:30 pm. Here, we will enjoy a catered dinner, mostly provided by the club.
We are asking for a $5 contribution for dinner to offset the cost to the club, but everything else is FREE!
We do need dinner reservations - deadline will be August 17 at midnight. And we would like to know how many expect to come for Blunch so we will know how much food to order. STARTING NOW - Just email socokoi@comcast.net or call Sarah at 599-8349.
